Our People Team is a tight-knit group of seven professionals combining diverse strengths to shape an exceptional employee experience. From Learning and Development to Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, and HR Operations, we work as one team. You’ll be collaborating with our Growth Advisor, Talent Advisor, People Partner, People Officer, Happiness Officer, and Finance & People Officer. You combine people-first mindset with hands-on HR expertise from payroll and legislation to engagement and performance. You know when to roll up your sleeves and when to zoom out and lead. Key Responsibilities:
As HR Lead, you’ll guide and support our People Team while ensuring smooth HR operations across the business. You’ll act as a trusted HR advisor to the Leadership Team and a supportive coach to your team, balancing team leadership with daily HR challenges.
In summary, your tasks will include:
Leading and mentoring the People Team, guiding them toward success and growth.
You’ll report to and partner closely with the CFO, who represents the People Team within the leadership group, to ensure strong alignment between people and business goals.
Overseeing Dutch payroll and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Managing absence and sickness cases (both short- and long-term) in compliance with relevant legislation.
Driving and optimizing HR operations, from onboarding and employee lifecycle management to compensation and benefits.
Handling HR Business Partner responsibilities, advising managers on performance, engagement, and development and supporting in handling workplace challenges.
Fostering a culture of openness, feedback, and recognition. You know how to celebrate good work and address challenges head-on.
Supporting organizational growth through workforce planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Championing our values and advocating for the People Team’s mission within the business.

Job requirements
What makes you a great fit for this role?
You’re an experienced HR professional who knows the ins and outs of Dutch HR operations and you’re also a People Lader who lifts others up. You believe that good HR is both the structure and the human side of it.
As our HR Lead, you bring:
At least 3–5 years of HR experience, including hands-on HR operational work and team leadership.
Proven experience in Dutch payroll and absence/sickness management (short and long term).
Strong knowledge of Dutch labor law and HR compliance.
Experience as an HRBP supporting leaders with advice and people insights.
Excellent communication skills, you’re clear, approachable, and not afraid to give or receiv feedback.
You’re a logical thinker who brings clarity and structure to fast-moving situations.
A positive, values-driven personality. You care deeply about people and culture.
A proactive and independent mindset.
Able to recognize and celebrate great work within your team.
Based in the Netherlands and fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken).

Salary range between 72.000 and 84.000 EUR gross per year depending on experience.
